ART & EXHIBITIONS

The artworks presented here are derived from many years spent engaging the art of our first ancestors in South Africa. The artworks are inspired by myths, stories, rituals, and landscapes. They make reference to rituals associated with the natural world, perhaps better defined as life, the Cosmos, or God. The primary aims of these rituals are to gradually dislodge us from any ‘small’ perception of life, and once an appropriate appreciation is established, which culminates in a stark realization and recognition of our fragility in the presence of an immeasurable power and complexity, a correct posture can be established (ha re bua ka go ikokobetsa)
